What is Paint Protection Film?
Paint protection film (PPF), also called clear-bra, is a transparent urethane film that is installed on your car paint, and acts as an invisible barrier against rock-chips, road debris, bug etchings, and minor abrasions to your vehicles surface. Generally, PPF is installed over high impact areas such as front bumpers, fenders, hoods, side mirrors, A-Pillars, rocker-panels, door cups etc. A ROD'S Detailing & Ceramic Coatings will help you customize specific PPF protection packages to maximize coverage areas.
Our premium paint protection film offers superior protection and performance to keep your ride looking new for years to come. Our SUNTEK ULTRA PPF will protect your vehicle against damage caused by rocks, insects, and other road debris. A ROD'S Detailing & Ceramic Coatings will generally use pre-cut PPF kits on panels to ensure a perfect fit every time!
Prior to installation, vehicle will receive a full complementary wash. Panels receiving PPF will receive an iron decon and clay-bar treatment.

PPF is applied directly over car paint or select areas of the vehicle. It is a "wet installation" using a soapy solution to align the film and squeegeed to lock down the film in place.
To ensure maximum performance of the PPF, it is not recommended you use automatic car washes or high psi power washers, as this could cause the film to lift. Wait at least 7 days after installation before hand washing your vehicle.
A ROD'S Detailing & Ceramic Coatings recommends you hand wash with a quality car wash soap and a soft wash mitt. Avoid the use of automatic car washes and power washers. Promptly wash off staining hazards, such as bird droppings. This will help keep your PPF looking its best. You can apply a wax or ceramic sealant at least 3-4 times per year.
